Underground Railroad #0039 - Cudjo Lewis Statue

Cudjo Lewis arrived by slave ship in Mobile, Alabama in 1859 from Dahomey, Africa. After the Civil War he and his shipmates founded Plateau, Alabama where he lived into his 90s.
