Matisse's Chapelle du Rosaire in Vence.

Matisse finished decorating the Chapelle du Rosaire in Vence in 1951 when he was 81 years old. His former nurse and model Monique Bourgeois had become a Dominican nun and persuaded the artist to design a chapel for her community in Vence. Matisse designed the cross.
